Learn to dance and support Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry

Published 3:35 pm Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Beginner and intermediate dance lessons are back by popular demand. Come out and have some fun learning some new dance moves while helping Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry. Learn swing, cha cha, rumba, foxtrot and waltz. There is a fee for the lessons, and all of the money goes to support Thermal Belt Outreach. Instructors Dave and Carlann Scherping make learning to dance fun, so slip on your dancing shoes and don’t miss this opportunity.

The classes are held on Tuesday evenings beginning September 12 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Tryon in the Parish Hall. The one hour class begins at 6:30 p.m. and is appropriate for beginners or intermediate dancers. We will start with the basics and then make it a little more interesting for any more advanced dancers. The class will continue for the month with each week building on the week before.

A new class with new dances will begin in October and another in November. In three months, dancers will learn the basics for five dances and we guarantee you will be ready to go dancing. And we will end with a dance party in early December.
