Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 58 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jason Carroll Barnes was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Barnes was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

John David Edwards Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Edwards was fined $40 and court costs.

Jonathan Taylor Garvin was convicted of probation violation. Garvin’s probation was terminated.

Jennifer Eryn Grubbs was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Grubbs was fined $100.

Daniel Schilling was convicted of speeding 29 mph in a 20 mph zone. Schilling was fined $25 and court costs.

Tyler Allen Bullock was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Bullock was fined $50.

Ronald Shane Green was convicted of resisting public officer. Green was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Rahzine W. Patterson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Patterson was fined $40 and court costs.

Brittany N. Sweatt was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Sweatt was fined $40 and court costs.

Eric Christopher Wooden was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Wooden was fined $50.
