Conserving Carolina, formerly Pacolet Area Conservancy (PAC) and Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy (CMLC), and the Landrum Library invite the public to attend a free program “Water Runs Down Hill – The Pacolet River from the Mountains to the Sea,” presented by Beth Button, from the USC Upstate Watershed Ecology Center.  The program will be held at the Landrum Library, 111 East Asbury Drive on Tuesday, August 29 at 6 p.m.

Button will be discussing the fact that rivers tie us together and why it is important to guard the quality of our waterways. She will also be discussing how programs like Adopt-a-Stream can be used to oversee water quality, and will also include information about the Watershed Ecology Center and its role in educating future guardians of our resources.

This program is made possible by a Free Community Events grant from the Polk County Community Foundation (PCCF).
