The third annual Empty Bowls event is just around the corner. Mark your calendar for Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. and visit the Empty Bowls ticket website to purchase your tickets today.

Empty Bowls is a 25 year old international grassroots movement to help end hunger. This Empty Bowls event will raise money to stock Outreach’s food pantry and raise awareness to the plight of local residents struggling with hunger.

Empty Bowls 2017 promises to be another fun event. Held again at The Barn at Parker-Binns Vineyard, you’ll listen to the sweet sounds of Jefferson Coker and his guitar and enjoy savory homemade soups and fresh artisan breads. Wines will be for sale, along with beer. Iced tea and water will be provided. Each Empty Bowls guest will select a handcrafted bowl to take home to keep as a reminder of the empty bowls at meal time in Polk County and around the world.
