Tryon Country Club hires new superintendent

Tryon Country Club is pleased to announce Ben Stackhouse as the new golf course superintendent. Stackhouse started on July 31.
He graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associate Degree in Golf Course Management in 2005.
He worked as a Team Leader at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He then was Assistant Superintendent at Bridge Mill Athletic Club in Canton, Ga. He also worked as Assistant Superintendent at Holly Tree in Simpsonville, S.C. before going to Greer Country Club (Greer, S.C.) as assistant superintendent and then superintendent.
He has extensive experience in bent grass greens including Crenshaw and Pen-Cross.
Stackhouse is a high energy hands on man with great mechanical skills along with experience in irrigation systems.
Stackhouse is married and has two young children. He resides in Lyman, S.C.
