Peggy Foster Constance 79, of Lynn North Carolina passed away
Sunday August 6, 2017.
Born in Tryon, North Carolina on September 15, 1937 she was the daughter of
the late Lonnie V. Foster (1906-1972) and Edith Durham Foster. (1912-2001).
Peggy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Keith Constance.
Also surviving are two sons Keith Foster Constance (Alisa) of Columbus and
Todd Wright Constance (Julie) of Kiev Ukraine, two Grandchildren Chase and
Abigail Constance of Columbus.

Peggy graduated from Tryon High School and Lander University in Greenwood,
SC. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for 9 years and helped her husband with
his tire business in Spartanburg, SC for over 30 Years.  Peggy also worked as a
Real Estate Broker and later retired from the United States Postal Service in
2004.  She was the former owner of the Book Shelf in Tryon.  Peggy was
recognized as Polk County Woman of the Year.  She was a charter member and
the creator of Tryon’s Super Saturday.  Peggy will always be remembered as an
extremely loving and caring person.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Polk
Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jeff Harris officiating.
