Mill Spring-A Rutherford County man was shot during a domestic dispute on Sunday night, Aug. 6 in Polk County, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. BJ Bayne said officers from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report that an individual had been shot on Polk County Line Road around 12:24 a.m. Sunday.

Joshua Wayne Cuthbertson, 24, of Rutherford County suffered the gunshot wounds and was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. Bayne said there were multiple gunshot wounds.

“Detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office were called out to investigate the reported shooting, which involved an ongoing domestic situation,” Bayne said. “This is an ongoing investigation at this time. No charges have been filed.”
