Local broker opens new real estate business, Mountain Property Group

Linda Tinkler has opened her own real estate company in downtown Tryon. The brokerage will specialize in local residential properties and equestrian farms.

“After working with an international firm for three years, I decided I wanted to have my own company here in Tryon. I am a big believer in supporting local business. With my own firm, I can get all of my services from this community – brochures, signs, landscaping, staging, it can all be sourced locally. This way I can make sure that the profits and expenditures of my business go back into the Tryon economy.”

For the last 20 years, Linda and her husband Chris have made their home in Tryon. A lifelong horsewoman, Linda has worked in the equestrian world for much of her adult life. She remains a horse owner and competitor, but now focuses her time on working with sellers and buyers looking for real estate. Until recently, equestrian properties were her specialty, but Linda has been fortunate enough to list and sell a number of homes in Gillette Woods, Godshaw Hill, and other residential neighborhoods, and plans to expand her listing inventory to include more homes in residential areas. Linda is known for her willingness to show all available properties regardless of who holds the listing, and her ability to find properties that are not currently listed and might otherwise fall under a buyer’s “radar.”

Mountain Property Group is a tight-knit, streamlined team that delivers robust marketing and helps both sellers and buyers through the real estate process.

Linda further explains, “I am lucky to have two amazing people working with me in the new office. Tracey Daniels is going to step in and take over my marketing and publicity. I have had a lot of success using the internet and social media to get my properties extra exposure and Tracey will expand that program. Tracey is a genius at finding the perfect placement for my listings, no matter how specialized they are.  I have already benefited from her expertise with several listings – we are getting calls from all over the country because of her promotions.”

“My broker-in-charge is Mary Hunter Keeler, who has had a real estate license for over 30 years, as well as working as a real estate paralegal. When I met Mary Hunter, she was the compliance officer for the entire office at Keller Williams Mountain Partners, overseeing 130 agents. I figured if she could keep all of those brokers in line, she could handle anything, even me!”
