Pea Ridge Baptist Church in Mill Spring will host its fourth annual bow shoot for missions on Saturday, August 26. The church has hosted three prior successful bow shoots in which all proceeds were donated to help fund various mission opportunities.

All proceeds will go to a general missions fund for future mission purposes. Pea Ridge Baptist has taken two mission trips to Nome, Alaska, serving during the Iditarod race through various opportunities with the goal to show the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Alaska.

Also, the church has taken three different teams to Jacmel, Haiti to serve the House of Abraham orphanage. Alaska and Haiti are only two places where there is a deep need for the love of Jesus.

Pea Ridge Baptist Church has a heart for missions and it shows through local community events hosted by the church, such as the bow shoot, along with the domestic and international mission trips taken thus far.

Bow shoot registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the shooting will last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 20 target bow shoot will cost $10. A tough man shot will also be offered for $5, and the winner will take half of the pull. Prizes will be offered for first, second, and third place. Coffee will be available in the morning for participants for a small donation of $1. For lunchtime hot dogs, chips, drinks, and ice cream will be served for reasonable prices as well.

This year, not only do we desire to reach archery lovers but also their families. Pea Ridge will have two bounce houses on site, free of charge. There is also a playground children can play on (as long as they are supervised) while they wait for the participants to finish the shoot.
