Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, with Judge Athena Brooks presiding, 111 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Paolo Frances Anchisi was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Anchisi was sentenced to one day in jail, 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Deforest Nimoy Davis was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Davis was fined $40.

James Albert Greene was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Greene was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Phillip Grant Rhodes was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Rhodes was fined $50 and court costs.

Polk Sheriff monthly report

For the month of June, 2017 the Polk County Sheriff’s Office patrolled 27,189 miles, answered 694 calls for service, did 1,013 house checks, 2,664 business checks, 1,524 church checks, and 8 public assist.

Deputies served 85 civil papers, and 41 criminal papers.

The department made 11 felony arrests, 44 misdemeanor arrests, and issued 46 citations.

Deputies stayed at St. Luke’s Hospital for 156 hours with an IVC.

The Polk County Jail booked 60 males, and 8 females.
