Summer Sizzler Arts & Craft Camp sessions just around the corner!

Published 1:30 pm Sunday, July 2, 2017

Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s Summer Sizzler Camp starts July 10 and has four week-long camp sessions at the school at 373 Harmon Field Road where kids 10 and older learn eight or more different crafts like pottery, fused glass, blacksmithing, jewelry making, storytelling/drama, tie dye, leatherwork, painting, sculpture, basketry, woodworking, weaving, origami and bookmaking.

Campers discover their hidden talents as they create many different art forms and experience the joy of sharing their creations with family and friends. Campers work with professional grade tools in well-equipped studios as they complete their projects. New friendships, new skills, and lasting memories are the highlights of our Summer Sizzler Arts Program.

The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch break. Students should bring a lunch, snack, and a drink and are encouraged to wear clothing that they don’t have to worry about getting dirty so that creativity can flow unhindered. Each Friday, students display their artwork in a gallery show from 4 – 5 p.m. that is open to friends and family.
