Four Polk County players have earned All-District recognition from the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association. Recent graduate Ashley Ponder and rising seniors Haley Fowler, Maranda Gosnell (above) and Autumn Owen were chosen for the District 8 2A squad, which includes players from Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania and Yancey counties.
