Mountain Brook Vineyards, a boutique family vineyard in Tryon, will celebrate the opening of their new tasting room with a weekend of activities on June 3 and 4. Mountain View BBQ will be on site with their food truck on Saturday, June 3. Tia B’s Food Truck will be serving Mexican food, and John and Jude Harwood will be playing live music on Sunday, June 4. Face painting, lawn games and vendors will be on site throughout the weekend.

All of the wines at Mountain Brook Vineyards are made of 100 percent North Carolina grapes, which are harvested by hand and fermented separately in oak barrels and unoaked stainless steel tanks. Estate grown fruit constitutes the majority of wines produced. Mountain Brook Vineyards also offers food from local producers, including Cool Mama’s Bakery, Three Graces Dairy, Roots & Branches and Van’s Chocolates, to pair with wine tastings.

Mountain Brook Vineyards is located at 731 Phillips Dairy Road in the Green Creek area of Tryon. Visit mbvwines.com or their Facebook page for more information about upcoming events.
