Eleanor Lorraine (Keddy) Campbell went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2017. She passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by some of her family.
She was born on March 4, 1921 in Barre, Mass., the daughter of late Clarance Keddy and Janet (Venart) Keddy.
She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, “Chub,” sister Emma Nelson, and brothers Jim Keddy and Butch Keddy. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Janet Haynes and Linda Stoll (Chuck); sons, Jack Campbell (Linda), Roy Campbell (Lynn) and Gary Campbell (Glenda); sisters Freda Moore, Margaret Nelson and Evelyn Rider; twelve grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor and Nigel (Chub) were married on April 20, 1941.
Eleanor was a loving caregiver most of her life. Her mother passed away when she was young and she helped her Dad raise her siblings. Then, with her husband, they raised their children and then helped raise two of her grandchildren.
The family lived in New Hampshire until 1952 and then moved to Florida and traveled back and forth from New Hampshire to Florida for many years. After she sold her house in the mid ‘90’s she moved to North Carolina and set up her residence there until she passed away.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Rutherford, P.O. Box 336, 374 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
