Larry Keith Butler of Green Creek, N.C. passed away, Saturday evening, May 27, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Buncombe County, N.C., he was the son of Evelyn Creasman Butler of Columbus, N.C. and the late Van Harrison Butler. Mr. Butler was a veteran of the Vietnam era having served in the U.S. Navy. He was very proud of his 1954 Studebaker Truck that he had restored and was a member of the Studebaker Club.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three sons, twins, Jody and Jeremy Butler and Patrick Michael Butler.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of 46 years, Donna Plucker Butler; one daughter, Laura Butler Bohanon (Joey) of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Roger Butler (Susan) of Eureka, Mont. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 31, 2017 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.

A private service will be held.
