Polk County lands five on all-WHC girls soccer squad

Polk County has placed five players on the 2017 all-Western Highlands Conference girls soccer squad.

Seniors Rhian Alley, Cameron Capozzi, Addie Lynch and Malena Roman and sophomore Reese Alley were all chosen for the league’s all-conference team.

Hendersonville’s Eden Hawkins was named the conference player of the year while Mitchell’s Brandey Burleson was named the goalkeeper of the year. Hendersonville’s Amber McCullough, who led the Bearcats to the conference title and 2A Western Regional championship game, earned coach of the year honors.

Avery: Ollianne Rainey (Avery County)

Hendersonville: Grayson Garber, Maya Gash, Eden Hawkins, Kayla Hill, Carson Kirby, Breanna Kirk, Martha Smith
