Join Dick Wall as he speaks about his wife’s inspiring memoir of friendship, faith and her struggles with cancer Thursday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at the Landrum Library.
“Mister Owita’s Guide to Gardening” is the first-person, nonfiction story about Carol Wall’s unlikely friendship with Giles Owita, a Kenyan-born landscape designer who took on the arduous task of rehabilitating Wall’s neglected yard. Their relationship taught them both about life and healing, even as her illness worsened.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Landrum Library.
The Landrum Library is located at 111 Asbury Dr. in Landrum.
