Editor’s Note: Following is the agenda for the Polk County Board of Commissioner’s meeting on Monday, May 15. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a public hearing regarding a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance and map and rezoning for certain areas as the Equestrian Village District. The regular meeting will follow the public hearing, both to be held in the R. Jay Foster Hall of Justice, located on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus.
Call to Order of the Public Hearing Regarding the Proposed Amendment to the Polk County Zoning Ordinance & Zoning Map, Rezoning & Zoning Certain Areas as the Equestrian Village District – Chairman Melton. The purpose of the public hearing is to take public comment on the proposed ordinance “An Amendment to the Polk County Zoning Ordinance/Zoning Map to Rezone and Zone Certain Areas as the Equestrian Village District.” All those tracts of real property in the White Oak and Green Creek Township more particularly identified and described by the map and tax identification numbers P105-33, P105-20, and P105-66. The public hearing was properly advertised in the Tryon Daily Bulletin. The information is included in the agenda packet under Agenda Item #13.
