The 2017 Adult Prom: formal and fun
Published 4:12 pm Tuesday, May 9, 2017
On Saturday, April 29 Unity in the Community’s Adult Prom 2017 proved to be a sparkling success. The dinner dance was held at Legends in the Tryon International Equestrian Center and was by all standards a very memorable night, highlighted by dancing under the stars, with a hazy crescent moon lending a romantic note to the tempos of disco music and dancers enjoying the warm evening.
The evening started with prom photographs taken at the entrance to the club. The seating for dinner was full to the brim with approximately 300 guests. A delicious buffet dinner was followed by dancing, with two DJs in two different locations, one inside Legends and another at the Sky Bar outside on the second level. After hours of dancing the evening was topped off with the presentation of the Adult Prom 2017 King and Queen, Charles Walton and Denise Huffman.
This event was sponsored by the Unity in the Community Organization and funded by a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation and the Free Community Grant Fund.
