Gardner-Webb University recently honored undergraduate students for academic excellence and outstanding service and leadership. Winners of these awards exemplify the university’s core values of faith, service and leadership in their classrooms and communities.

Tyler Oxtoby of Saluda, a sophomore business administration major, was one of two students to receive the Student Recruitment Ambassadors Scholarship Award. Oxtoby volunteers his time to talk to prospective students and their families and takes  them on tours of the GWU campus. He will receive a scholarship for his dedication to serving the undergraduate admissions office.

In recognition of the award presentation, Oxtoby may choose one book for purchase by Gardner-Webb’s Dover Memorial Library. The book will be inscribed with his name and the date of the award presentation.
