Recently, while I was doing recycling in uptown Columbus, a recycler locked her keys in her car. I called 911 and a police officer came over to help but with the equipment he had, he was unable to enter the car.

He called Arledge Locksmith. Brian Arledge quickly arrived and, used to such situations and having just the right apparatus, got into the vehicle faster than you could say “Bob’s your uncle.”

Taking a second from my duties, I saw the vehicle owner sitting in Brian’s truck. Noticing her back at her car a few minutes later, I asked her how’d it go. She said, “He didn’t charge me.” He just acted as a good neighbor helping a woman in distress.

It’s folks like Brian that make me proud to live in Polk County.
