Pea Ridge community gathering May 11

The next Pea Ridge community gathering will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the community center.   

Area residents and interested persons are cordially invited to attend and bring finger foods and beverage to share. Ice and paperware will be provided. The center is located at 207 Big Level Road, 3.5 miles east of Mill Spring, just off Hwy. 108.

The speaker for the evening will be Shirley Holycross, a member of Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren. Ms. Holycross is a former university professor in China and now lives here. She is a substitute teacher in Polk County Schools.

Reminders: You may bring your recyclables to the center any time all day Thursday, May 11 as the Polk County recycling containers will be located inside the tennis court fence for your drop-off. The truck will pick up later that day or early on Friday, May 12.
