On Sunday afternoon, April 30, Tryon Arts & Crafts School will be hosting a celebratory wine and cheese reception for the audience, cast and crew of Tryon Little Theater’s comedy “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” by Christopher Durang and directed by Scott Waddell. The original Broadway production of the play won the Tony Award for Best Play and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play in 2013.

The reception, to be held at the school located at 373 Harmon Field Road in Tryon, will also provide an opportunity for cast, crew and audience to mix and mingle while enjoying TACS’ Crossroads Show, with central collaborative art installation by Christine Mariotti, Julie McIntyre, Doug Dacey and Barney Eiserloh, before it closes on May 12.

“Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” runs April 27-29 and May 4-6 at 8 p.m. and at 3 p.m. on April 30 and May 7 at the Tryon Little Theater Workshop at 516 S. Trade St. in Tryon. However the special reception is only on April 30, offering theatergoers an afternoon of theater and art.
