Residents of Polk County and Landrum are invited to share their vision of UNITY in the foothills through a one of a kind collage. The final workshop for creating a multimedia collage will be Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center.
Community members will gather in TFAC’s Studio A to create a small collage. The UNITY Project will provide basic art supplies such as paint, glue, and magazines and books, as well as professional guidance. Participants are encouraged to bring personal collage items, such as copies of newsprint and photographs that express their personal vision of what “unity” means.
The resulting individual artworks will be hung together and displayed at TFAC, with an opening reception on Sunday, May 7. After the exhibit, artists may take their panels home.
There is no cost to participate in The UNITY Project, but attendance is limited for the final workshop. Advanced registration is required by visiting tryonarts.org/unity-project.
The UNITY Project is supported by the Community Matters Grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.
