► Polk reschedules April 17 meeting
The Polk County Board of Commissioners rescheduled its regular April 17 meeting due to scheduling conflicts. The county rescheduled the meeting for Tuesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. Commissioners meet in the R. Jay Foster Hall of Justice, located on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus. The Bulletin prints the county’s agenda prior to the meetings in its weekend edition.
► Polk to hold special meeting May 8 to receive draft budget
The Polk County Board of Commissioners scheduled a special meeting on May 8 at 5 p.m. to receive the draft budget from county manager Marche Pittman. The board will meet for a budget work session on May 15 at 1 p.m. and again for a second budget work session on May 16 at 3 p.m. Another budget work session is scheduled for June 5 at 6 p.m. with a public hearing on the proposed budget scheduled for June 5 at 7 p.m. Commissioners are scheduled to adopt the new budget on June 19 during its regular meeting. The new budget year will begin July 1.
► Columbus reschedules April meeting to April 27
Columbus Town Council rescheduled its April meeting from April 20 to April 27, due to scheduling conflicts. Council will meet at 6 p.m. at Columbus Town Hall.
