Bronson “Jim” Panther

Bronson Blake “Jim” Panther, age 83, of 358 West St., Spindale, N.C., passed away Wednesday, April 5 at Hospice House. Jim was a native of Cleveland County, retired from Spindale Mills, a member of Midway Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lincie Howard Panther, and his wives, Evelyn and Gertrude Panther.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Darlene Smith and her husband Arthur of Spindale; a brother Martin Panther Jr. of Spartanburg; grandchildren Kim Greene, Michael Smith and Michelle Tipton; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter McDonald officiating.
