Several businesses and two schools were without water Monday, March 27 after a main waterline broke along Hwy. 108 in Columbus near Kangaroo. Polk County High School and the Early College dismissed at 11:30 a.m. because water service was disconnected. The break occurred around 11 a.m., according to the Town of Columbus. Crews were able to restore service at around 3:45 p.m. Monday afternoon. School reopened as usual Tuesday morning. (Photo by Leah Justice)
