The heart of a volunteer is a truly special thing and dedication of each is something to be admired much less appreciated. Foothills Humane Society is thankful for one such person, a woman who, with a happy spirit, has exercised and trained many a dog at the shelter needing socialization.

Without discrimination and no matter the muscular stature or specific breed, Lisa Baird has arrived, rain or shine, to take dogs assigned to her on walks along the shelter’s trail and to play on the pavilion’s agility equipment. It is with sad hearts that we wish Lisa “Bon Voyage” as she leaves our community for Alaska where she will find a new avenue to dedicate her energy. That organization will be lucky to have her.

The staff will miss her positive attitude and smiling face and wishes her safe travels and happiness in her next life’s adventure.
