Esther Ruff died March 10, 2017. Survivors include her children Rita Dickson of Gaffney, S.C., Jeff Ruff of Goose Creek, S.C., and Cathy Ruff of North Charleston, S.C.; three siblings, Bill Burnette of Columbus, N.C., Grace Gilbert of Asheville, N.C. and Myrtle Chapman of Abbeville, S.C.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at a later date Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus N.C.
