Polk sheriff’s office arrests two on drug charges

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people from Gail Drive, Tryon this week with possession of several drugs, including ecstasy, LSD, methamphetamine and marijuana.

Crystal Belle Ballenger, 37, of 63 Gail Drive was arrested and charged with two counts of felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, one count of felony possession of methamphetamine and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, according to sheriff reports.

Justin Michael Keyser, of 63 Gail Drive, was arrested and charged with one count of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and failing to comply with a court order relating to a driving while impaired charge, according to sheriff reports.

The sheriff’s office PACE (Polk Aggressive Criminal Enforcement) Team investigated public complaints of suspicious activity on Gail Drive in Polk County and discovered the illegal substances. The arrests were made on March 7, according to sheriff reports.

Ballenger was taken into custody under an $18,000 secured bond and Keyser was taken into custody under a $35,200 secured bond, according to sheriff reports.
