The NC Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) will be leading guided bird walks at Green River Game Land throughout 2017. Join NCWRC this Friday, March 10 at the Green River Game Lands.
The group will be exploring the Green River Cove side of the game lands. The birding will focus on observing winter sparrows. Meet at 8 a.m. at the Marathon gas station off of exit 59 on I-26. Bring a rain jacket, binoculars and food to last you until midday. Birding will take place until around noon.
Clifton Avery will be leading the walk and will be bringing copies of the new four-season bird checklist.
