Foothills Music Club plans organ concert on Thursday

Three of the organists performing in the Foothills Music Club (FMC), Inc.’s annual organ concert on March 9 are Pam McNeil, Lesley Bush and Juliana Winchell.

Pam McNeil is organist at Tryon United Methodist Church and a teacher at Saluda Elementary School. She serves as accompanist for many groups in the area, such as the community chorus and Tryon Little Theater.

Lesley Bush is organist as well as the minister of music and the director of communications at Tryon Presbyterian Church. He will also be directing the community choir at their spring concert.

Juliana Winchell is one of the organists at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Saluda. One of the selections she will play for the concert is “Toccata in F Major” by Dietrich Buxtehude.

Also included on the program is the FMC Women’s Chorale under the direction of Gwen Suesse. The chorale will present two selections, one of which is “In Paradisum” by Gabriel Fauré.

This concert, free and open to the public, will be at Tryon Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross on Thursday, March 9 at 3 p.m.
