Carla Filippelli will return to Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) on Thursday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to teach a birdhouse basket making workshop. Students will create a distinctive birdhouse and learn the twined method of weaving. Each participant will work with hand dyed colorful reeds and will learn an easy to master technique. Basket tips, native materials, bird habits and dyeing reeds will all be up for discussion as you create a winter and springtime favorite. 

Beginners are welcome. Pre-registration for this workshop is required. Space is limited. Register for this class by calling FENCE. There is a fee for this workshop which includes all supplies. Students should bring an old towel to the workshop.
