Polk County Friends of Agriculture Breakfast March 15

Polk County Office of Agricultural Economic Development and Polk County Farm Bureau will hold their monthly Friends of Agriculture Breakfast on Wednesday, March 15. Each Friends of Agriculture Breakfast features a breakfast and a speaker on areas of interest to the community of farmers, gardeners, and food enthusiasts. This is a free event held at the 4-H Building, 135 Locust St., Columbus.

This month’s breakfast will feature a presentation from Alex Arnold, project coordinator with Mountain Valleys Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council. Arnold will discuss the Energy Cost-Share Assistance Program and funding available for farm energy projects.

Donations of canned foods will be collected at this event to benefit the clients of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministries.
