Get ready to join in the fun with Cascada de Flores. You won’t be able to help it- the participatory show, El Abuelo, will delight all ages and have everyone singing and dancing.
“The Tree and the Donkey Who Loved to Sing (aka El Abuelo)” will have children and adults alike on their feet. Join in the fun with Cascada de Flores as you are invited to sing, dance, and play along with their enchanting traditional Mexican songs and dances. This bilingual program uses ancient traditional instruments, poly-rhythms and the sweet characters of Mexican music to draw audiences of all ages into the story.
Since 1999, Cascada de Flores has traveled widely in Mexico, collecting stories and music to add to their performances to create an authentic experience for their audience. They have performed across the United States and Mexico at more than 1,000 schools and libraries.
You can see “The Tree and the Donkey Who Loved to Sing” at Super Saturday, March 18. Look for them at the Congregational Church of Tryon at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For information about this event and others, as well as ticketing information, follow us on Facebook or visit our website at www.tryonsupersaturday.com
