The final event for this winter is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18. The event will be held in the gym at the Green Creek Community Center, 534 Coxe Rd., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to stay for the entire time or drop in, as you like.

The Green Creek Archery Club was founded in 2012 and in the time since, has grown to be one of the best archery facilities in the Southeast. There is a 23-lane indoor range and a 44-lane outdoor range which have hosted several state championships attended by archers coming from not only North Carolina, but also from South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and Ohio.

With instruction from Coach Vennera, several club members have gone from never holding a bow to earning multiple state championships. If you are able to hold a bow, Coach Vennera can show you how to shoot it.
