“A Celebration of Heritage” gospel singing

Barbara Fox will sponsor “A Celebration of Heritage” gospel singing on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 5 p.m. at St. Luke CME Church to benefit Women’s Day. The program is free and open to the public.
Local gospel groups and choirs will provide musical selections and the special guest performer will be master Vincent Proctor, a 13-year old singer and community volunteer.
Master Proctor is the son of Carol and Charlie Proctor. He attends Mabry Middle School. He plays the saxophone and he is known for his love of singing.
Other invited groups include the Burns Sisters, Garrison Chapel Baptist Church, New Salem CME Church, New Zion CME Church, White Hall Independent Church, New Forrest Chapel CME Church, the Faithful Singers and Stony Knoll CME Church.
A unity fellowship repast will immediately follow the singing in the church’s fellowship hall. St. Luke CME Church is located at 462 Markham Rd. in Tryon. For more information regarding the program, contact Mrs. Barbara Fox at 828-859-5403.
