Fourth graders in Leann Wilson’s class at Polk Central Elementary have gotten a firsthand look at chickens and eggs during a recent project. Students hatched chicken eggs in an incubator and studied their adaptations and how they meet their needs. The project also helped teach students about instinct and learned behaviors.
