Melvin Paul Finch, 82, of Roebuck, S.C. passed away on January 19, 2017. He was the son of the late Paul B. and Inez Moon Finch and husband of the late Elizabeth Laughter Finch.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a retired salesman with Liberty Life and served in the US Army.

He is survived by two sons, Scott Finch (Tammy) of Landrum, Mike Finch (Cheryl) of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Cindy Finch Thornton (Billy) of Drayton; a sister, Thelma Bridwell of Wellford; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother JB Finch and a sister Jeanette Foster.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jim Oliver, Pastor Joe Burnett, and Pastor John Grice. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. Escort will be provided by the Patriot Guard.
