Carolina Camera Club Spotlight Presentation

The latest Spotlight Presentation of the Carolina Camera Club will answer the question of how to package, preserve, and present your digital archives of favorite photos. The presentation and meeting are free and open to the public, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 6:30 p.m., at the Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Mahler Room.

Does your hard drive look like a photo warehouse? Do you have external drives devoted to jpegs of grandchildren, high school reunions, and trips to Mongolia? Long-time club member Shields Flynn will share ideas on transforming these treasures from years past into books that will be treasured for years to come.

Flynn says, “Thanks to an abundance of software available today, it is easier than ever to share our passion for taking pictures with others. My objective is to stimulate ideas and themes for how one might package and preserve their images for others to enjoy.”

After his half-hour presentation, Flynn encourages other club members and visitors to have six or so examples on a thumb drive of any photo books or ideas they have to package images. As always, all photographers are invited to present recent work.
