The structure was a total loss and the investigation revealed that there may be multiple tools missing from the site. The loss is valued in excess of $300,000.

Polk County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a truck that was photographed at the residence around the time of the fire. The photographs are of what investigators believe to be a white 1992 to 1996 model Ford F-150. The vehicle is a standard cab truck, possibly two wheel drive, with damage to the bed of the passenger side of the truck.

Anyone with information on this truck should call 828-894-3001. A cash reward is possible for information leading to the location of the truck or information concerning the fire.
