Emil Leopold Frohlich

Emil Leopold Frohlich, 85, of Landrum passed away on Nov. 29, 2016. He was the son of the late Johann and Maria Anna Bommer Frohlich and husband of Cindy Lou Smith Frohlich.
He was a gratuate of the Hill School in Pottstown, Pa. and a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, Vt. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired senior vice president of Bommer Industries in Landrum. He was a former member of the Landrum Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Frohlich; two sons, Erich Bommer Frohlich (Libby) and Michael Ferris Frohlich (Cindy); a daughter, Emilie Marie Frohlich; a brother Peter Frohlich; four grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, Heather and Ashley; four great grandchildren, Sophia and Ty Vance and Indigo and Violet Kinney.
He was predeceased by a son, John Bommer Frohlich.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Petty Funeral Home.
