Ted Pack

Hubert “Ted” Pack, 85, of Mill Spring, N.C., died Saturday, December 17, 2016 in his home.

Born in Polk County, N.C., he was the son of the late Hubert and Bessie Champion Pack. Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict. He was the owner of Ted Pack Logging. Ted was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Survivng are his wife of 60 years, Jean Jolley Pack; three sons, Kevin Pack (Karen) of Mill Spring, N.C., Kyle Pack (Lisa) of Columbus, N.C., and Bryan Pack (Katrina) of Mill Spring, N.C.; two daughters, Marsha Greene (Terry) of Columbus, N.C., and Cindy Van Wyk (Rustan) of Mill Spring, N.C.; four brothers, James Pack (Louise) of Edneyville, N.C., Russell Pack (Betty Jo) of Mill Spring, N.C., Gerald Pack (Betsy) of Mill Spring, N.C., and Claudy Pack (Brenda) of Mill Spring, N.C.; two sisters, Annie Laura Owensby (Ronell) of Gaffney, S.C., and Geneva Hostetter of Wilkesboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Jamie Roquemore, Jessie Pack, Mindy Scruggs, Dylan Scruggs, Felicia Staggs, Jacob Staggs, Kayla Pack, Maranda Pack, and Grayson Pack. Also surviving is one great grandchild, James Roquemore, III.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Mill Spring First Baptist Church with Rev. David Bame, Rev. Ronell Owensby, and Rev. Vince Hefner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2016 in McFarland Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Polk County Veteran Memorial Honor Guard.
