Landrum Police Dept. November report

The following report details activities of the Landrum Police Department during the month of November as reported by Landrum Police Chief Tim Edgens.

TRAFFIC

A total of 48 incidents and five arrests occurred in this category including: four driving under suspension, one DUI, two expired tags, three with no driver’s licenses, one with no proof of insurance, one with obstruction of windows, one with the operation of uninsured vehicle, one reckless driving, 15 seatbelt violations, 17 speeding, one unlawful passing and one unsafe vehicle. Four arrests occurred with the driving under suspension and one with the DUI incidents.

CRIMINAL

A total of 11 criminal incidents occurred including one for the failure to stop on command, one for false information to police officer, one hit and run with property damage, one illegal transport of liquor, one open container, two possessions of drug paraphernalia, one possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, two simple possessions of marijuana, and one trespass after notice. Six arrests occurred including: one failure to stop on command, one hit and run with property damage, one illegal transport of liquor, one possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and two simple possessions of marijuana.

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS

Six criminal investigations occurred including one criminal sexual conduct with a minor, one death investigation, one house breaking, one larceny, one simple assault and one vandalism investigation.

OTHER  ACTIVITIES

Four accident reports, one funeral escort and 41 warning citations were executed.
