Saluda fourth graders study rock cycle with some sweet help

Saluda Elementary fourth graders in Stephanie Uhrich’s class are learning about the rock cycle. Students are using an unusual item to learn about the cycle – Starbursts. Students cut up Starbursts and cemented them together to form sedimentary rocks. After examining the sedimentary rocks, they applied heat and pressure to change them to metamorphic rocks.
