The City of Landrum is in the process of refurbishing their “Welcome to Landrum” signs and repainting each one with white letters against a navy blue background, according to City Administrator Rich Caplan. Sign Source in Tryon is taking the signs down and repainting each one at their shop. The signs cost approximately $200 to $300 each to refurbish. The project includes two city signs on Hwy. 176, one sign on Hwy. 14 and one sign located near Exit 1 on I-26 coming into town, shown above.
