Wolverines top Cherokee to end dual match streak

Polk County won its first dual wrestling match in more than a year on Saturday, defeating Cherokee 54-24 to cap a full day of wrestling at the Eagle Duals in Flat Rock.

The Wolverines won a dual match for the first time since their season-opening win over Christ School in November 2015.

Polk County also narrowly lost to Franklin, 36-28, during Saturday’s action. The Wolverines also fell to T.C. Roberson (65-12), East Henderson (57-24) and Hardin Valley, Ga. (57-18).
