“The roof had been leaking for a very long time, and with every storm we had last year it seemed to get worse and worse,” said TLT’s president, Susie Kocher. Thanks to Bradley Roofing, we found out it wasn’t just the fallen limbs piercing the roof, but a combination of other underlying issues.”

Leaking caused damage in the kitchen, destroyed a section of flooring in the main room, and marred areas of inside logs and stone work.

Historic Sunnydale, located on South Trade St. in Tryon, was given to TLT by Bob and Jackie Lane, who restored the building to its former grandeur. Many locals will remember the proms, dinner-dances and special celebrations held at the log cabin, and it was the Lanes’ wish that Sunnydale reclaim its reputation as a community gathering spot.

“We are thankful for the continued support of PCCF,” said Kocher, “and look forward to fulfilling the Lane’s wishes in serving our community.”
