Another reason to love Landrum

On a recent day I carelessly left my Visa card atop my truck after pumping gas. I never discovered the loss until nearly 24 hours later. I hurriedly returned to the gas station – no luck. I then visited the Ken Feagin Truck and Trailer business across the street – again, no luck.

By that time I realized that the card may have stayed atop my truck for some unknown distance and I was resigned to calling the bank and, worse yet, worrying about who might have been using the card.

Before leaving for home, I decided to take a walk along E. Rutherford Street, a real long shot. Over my objection, Mr. Randy Owenby and his son Brooks from the truck sales store, joined me in the walking search. Lo and behold, Randy found the card lying on the ground. I was amazed and so thankful. I was a stranger to these two men and they went way beyond the call of duty to help me out.

We are so lucky to live in such a part of the world where such kind actions are routine parts of our daily lives.
