Polk County District Court results for Nov. 23 & 28

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 97 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Brian Fred Beatty was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Beatty was fined $40 and court costs.

Shawn Hicks Beaver was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Beaver was to pay court costs.

Monica Lynn Bumgardner was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Bumgardner was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.

Jayro Alberto Favela was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Favela was to pay court costs.

Joseph Filowiat was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Filowiat was fined $100.

Justin Steven Ford was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Ford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Emily Joy Hardin was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Hardin was fined $100.

Lesley Alan Keeter was convicted of failure to comply with community service. Keeter was sentenced to two days in jail.

Kenly Smith Kerr was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Kerr was fined $100.

Elijah R. Pack was convicted of communicating threats. Pack was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Nita Michelle Plumley was convicted of second-degree trespassing. Plumley was to pay court costs.

In Polk County District Court on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 38 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Stanley Eric Vaughn was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Vaughn was sentenced to 24 hours in jail, one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
